If you visit Skywyld Farm at Rose's & Rust this weekend, you’ll notice that our "Curated Annual & Perennial Collection" looks a bit different than the plants you might see at a grocery store or a mass-market garden center. Much of our stock is currently in its lush, green stage, and while SOME are showing their first tight buds, you won't find plants forced into premature, weak flowering.

As a horticulturist, I choose it this way on purpose. Here is why:

Mass-market plants are often "pushed" with growth regulators and heavy fertilizers to bloom early for shelf appeal.
